Hey there. The link in the Mastering the Process Framework page to view the webex appears to be broken.

I know it's probably getting "old" now. Any chance this can be resurrected?? Thanks.

Hi Jens - thanks for your feedback! Ensuring unique, contrasting colors is definitely something we have in our backlog of items to address with Feeder Manager 2.0. We hope to have a solution that we can eventually demo for you and that you can try out on your problematic datasets to determine if it adequately solves the problem. Stay tuned for more updates on our progress!

Hi guys

As stated earlier the development on Feeder Manager is cool, an important step forward for a very useful part of ArcFM.
You hardly ever show Feeder Manager functionality without coloring by feeder - except you do it in this video, where coloring is by energized phase and looped attributes.
Coloring by feeder is very important. In a typical European distribution network tie points are very common and highly used in everyday operation. Many tie points and substations with many feeders means that adjacent feeders (meeting at substation or at tie points) WILL inevitably have too alike colors.
Now that you are generating 'energized phase' and 'looped' as individual readable attributes, are you considering generating and storing a color attribute ensuring unique, contrasting colors? Because that would really prove useful.

Thanx

Hi Marcelo - thanks for your question! As you mentioned, symbolization with FM2.0 is vastly improved!

The short answer is, yes! You will still be able to find dropped phases with FM2.0. In FM1.0 you had to use a complex method with many bitwise operations (the link you provided) as a Feeder Manager Label Expression in order to determine dropped phases. With FM2.0 you will still need to utilize an expression, but it can be simplified dramatically! Now you can simply concatenate 4 fields because you are supplied that information directly via the plug-in data source.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

The new symbology will be extremely useful during circuit QA/QC.

Good job!

Are you leveraging the Feeder Manager Label Expression?

How can I find phase drops in FM2.0?

I use the FM Label Expression in FM1.0 to accomplish this.

<a href="http://resources.arcfmsolution.com/FreeTools/FeederManagerPhaseMismatchLabeltextExpressionv5.txt" rel="nofollow">http://resources.arcfmsolution.com/FreeTools/FeederManagerPhaseMismatchLabeltextExpressionv5.txt</a>

Thanks and great job on FM2.0.

Great demo guys! real good improvements in Feeder Manager 2.0.
I have a question on symbology. I work with circuit data QA/QC and I leverage the Feeder Manager feederinfo and phasedesignation to find and fix phase drops, I use the Feeder Manager Label Expression, available at
<a href="http://resources.arcfmsolution.com/FreeTools/FeederManagerPhaseMismatchLabeltextExpressionv5.txt" rel="nofollow">http://resources.arcfmsolution.com/FreeTools/FeederManagerPhaseMismatchLabeltextExpressionv5.txt</a>

Are you considering to make this easier for the end user?

Maybe, create a tool to automatic add the Label Expression symbology to the conductor layers in the ArcMap TOC.

I have worked with Feeder Manager data and Esri Data Reviewer to perform circuit data validations for the last 5 years.

I'm really enjoying the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility problems? A couple of my blog visitors have complained about my website not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari. Do you have any suggestions to help fix this issue?
